Andre 3000: Shaving OutKast in Half?

OutKast is one of two Hip Hop acts to ever win a Grammy for Album of the Year.

Depending on who you ask [raises hand], group member and new Gillette spokesman Andre “3000″ Benjamin is the best lyricist ever.

FYI: Andre Benjamin Does Not Pay For Razors

XXL Magazine — home of the infamous Too $hort instructional video — tipped us off to a new GQ Magazine interview with Dre3K, where he plainly states that while he may release a solo album this year, another OutKast album is not [yet?] in his plan. So while Goodie Mob is working up a comeback album, fellow Dungeon Family members Big Boi and Dre are not.

Andre also clarifies the meaning of Hollywood Cole Court from Aquemini‘s classic song Spottieottiedopaliscious. Who knew? Let’s just hope the OutKast discography doesn’t end in a Hollywood Divorce. Dre did, after all, loosely associate OutKast music with his “high school dreams” in the interview.

Expect a mature 3000, not a contemporary industry-chaser, on this pending solo effort: “I’m 36 now, so I have grown-man dreams. This album will just be me being myself as normal.”

Hip Hop Grew Up.

No new Kast album. Sigh. Supposedly they had been working on it (according to tweets from Big Boi)…guess it’s really over. Damn.
